Getting Started with Digital Health Passport

This guide will help you install and set up the Digital Health Passport on your device.

Installation

Mobile App

iOS (iPhone/iPad)

  1. Visit the App Store
  2. Search for "Digital Health Passport" or "TinyMedicalApps"
  3. Tap Get to download
  4. Open the app once installed

Android

  1. Visit the Google Play Store
  2. Search for "Digital Health Passport" or "TinyMedicalApps"
  3. Tap Install to download
  4. Open the app once installed

Web App

Alternatively, you can access the Digital Health Passport through your web browser:

Creating Your Account

  1. Choose your sign-in method:

    • NHS Login (recommended) - Connect directly to your GP records
    • Email - Create an account with your email address

  2. Using NHS Login:

    • Tap "Sign in with NHS Login"
    • Follow the NHS Login authentication process
    • Authorize the Digital Health Passport to access your records
    • Complete your profile

  3. Using Email:

    • Enter your email address
    • Create a secure password
    • Verify your email
    • Complete your profile

Setting Up Your Profile

After signing in, you'll be guided through setting up your health profile:

  1. Personal Information

    • Name, date of birth, contact details
    • Emergency contact information

  2. Medical Information

    • Current conditions (asthma, allergies, etc.)
    • Current medications
    • Known allergies or triggers

  3. Preferences

    • Notification settings
    • Reminder preferences
    • Theme selection (light/dark)

First Steps

Once your profile is set up, here's what to do next:

For Asthma Management

  1. Review or create your Personalised Asthma Action Plan (PAAP)
  2. Record your current peak flow measurement
  3. Log today's symptoms
  4. Start the Smart Asthma Plan educational modules

For Allergy Management

  1. Add your known allergies
  2. Review personalized allergy education
  3. Set up air quality alerts for your location

Connect with Your GP

If you used NHS Login:

  • Your GP practice information is automatically linked
  • You can order repeat prescriptions directly through the app
  • Your asthma action plan can be shared with your care team

The app has several main sections:

  • Home - Dashboard with today's overview and quick actions
  • Track - Log symptoms, peak flow, and medications
  • Plan - View and manage your action plans
  • Learn - Educational content and resources
  • Medications - Manage prescriptions and reminders
  • Profile - Settings and account management
